Who we are
This website is operated by John & Gurwinder Real Estate Group, licensed REALTORS® with eXp Realty in British Columbia, Canada. You can reach us at 604.785.0071 or johnandgurwinder@gmail.com.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us. Specifically:
- Contact details — your name, phone number and email address, when you submit a form on this site.
- Property details — the address, property type and timeline you provide when requesting a home valuation.
- Messages — anything you write in a comment or message field.
- Basic technical data — the page a form was submitted from, and standard server logs including IP address, which we use for security and to prevent spam.
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry, prepare the valuation or information you asked for, and provide real estate services if you choose to work with us. We do not use your information for any other purpose without asking you first.
Who we share it with
Your information is stored in our brokerage customer relationship management system and is accessible to John Gill, Gurwinder Gill and, where required, eXp Realty administrative staff. Where a transaction requires it, we share information with the professionals involved — your lawyer or notary, your mortgage broker, or the cooperating brokerage.
We do not sell your information, and we do not trade or share leads with other agents.
Communications and consent
By submitting a form you consent to us contacting you about your enquiry. Under Canada's anti-spam legislation you can withdraw that consent at any time — reply to any message asking us to stop, or contact us at johnandgurwinder@gmail.com, and we will remove you promptly.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — which pages people read, how they found us, and which parts are working. It sets cookies in your browser and records pages viewed, rough location from your IP address, and general device and browser information. Google Analytics 4 does not store your full IP address.
It is aggregate measurement, not surveillance: we use it to see that (say) the White Rock page is read more than the Langley one. We do not use it to identify individuals, we do not combine it with the details you send through a form, and we run no advertising or remarketing pixels.
To opt out, block third-party cookies in your browser, use private browsing, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works normally either way — nothing is gated behind accepting analytics.
Two pages carry content embedded from other companies: our client story videos are played from Instagram, and the property search on our listings page runs from our eXp Realty search site. When one of those loads, that company can set its own cookies and see that you viewed the page, under their privacy policy rather than ours. Blocking third-party cookies in your browser stops this, and the rest of the site works normally without them.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become transactions are retained for up to two years and then deleted. Transaction records are retained for the period required by the Real Estate Services Act and the rules of the British Columbia Financial Services Authority.
Your rights
Under British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email johnandgurwinder@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are transmitted encrypted. No system is perfect, so please do not send us financial account numbers, social insurance numbers or identity documents through a web form — we will always arrange a secure method for anything sensitive.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if our practices change, and the date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
